At The Grove Salon Vancouver, our team is made up of artists who are deeply passionate about their craft. Jaime is one of those Vancouver Hairstylist's whose love for hair started long before her professional training — experimenting with styles for friends and family and discovering early on that creativity and beauty were where she felt most at home.
Jaime joined The Grove Salon in 2022, bringing with her a strong foundation and a genuine passion for helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own hair.
Finding the Right Path
Jaime always knew she wanted to work in hair. Before attending school, she spent years styling the hair of friends and family and experimenting with her own. In 2020 she enrolled in hair school in Calgary, and quickly realized she had found the right path.
Traditional school had never felt like a natural fit for her, but hair school was different.
“School suddenly became fun rather than something I felt obligated to do.”
That shift confirmed she had found a career where creativity, hands-on learning, and personal connection could all come together.

Jaime believes great hair should enhance your natural features and grow out beautifully over time. Rather than chasing trends that feel forced, she focuses on creating hair that looks effortless and soft as it evolves between appointments.

One thing clients might not realize is how much ongoing education happens behind the scenes. Jaime is always testing products, learning new techniques, and expanding her knowledge so she can give clients the best results possible.
Since joining The Grove Salon, she has continued to refine her skills and recently completed her Kevin Murphy Session HairStylist certification, an advanced education program focused on professional styling techniques.
She hopes to continue expanding her knowledge within the Kevin Murphy education system, and one day would love the opportunity to educate for the brand herself.

When it comes to maintaining healthy hair at home, Jaime always shares a few key habits with her clients.
Her biggest tip?
Always double shampoo your hair.
The first shampoo removes buildup, while the second allows the cleanser to properly work through the hair and scalp.
Another simple rule she swears by:
Never go to sleep with wet hair. Wet hair is far more fragile and can lead to breakage, frizz, and unnecessary stress on the hair.

When Jaime isn’t behind the chair, she’s very much a homebody at heart. Her perfect day includes sleeping in with her cats, going for a long walk with her boyfriend, and finishing the day with a movie.
She loves cooking, baking, crafting, journaling, and scrapbooking — and jokes that she’s “an 80-year-old woman in a 24-year-old body.”
She unwinds after a busy week by watching reality TV, taking a bath, and cooking a great meal.
Music is always part of the background too, with favourites like Lana Del Rey, Olivia Dean, Role Model, and Kings of Leon.
Her go-to coffee order? A cappuccino or flat white.
And if she could travel anywhere tomorrow, her dream destination would be Greece.
