Aimee has been part of The Grove since March 2020 and has been working in the hair industry since 2011. As both a master stylist behind the chair and General Manager of The Grove Chilliwack, she plays a key role in shaping not only how the salon looks and feels, but how it runs day to day.

Her path into hair began through makeup artistry, where she quickly realized how closely the two disciplines work together. Moving into hair felt like a natural evolution

 -  one that allowed her to connect creativity with confidence-building in a more lasting way. What has kept her in the industry all these years is the impact she sees on her clients, both immediately and over time.

“I want my clients to leave my chair knowing their hair’s integrity always comes first.”

That philosophy guides every decision she makes behind the chair, from consultations to long-term maintenance plans.

Lately, Aimee has been especially drawn to disconnected shags and mullets, enjoying the creativity and individuality those cuts allow. At the same time, she still loves a strong blonding session and appreciates the precision and patience it requires.

Rather than defining herself by a single aesthetic, Aimee adapts her work to the person in her chair. She believes great hair starts with listening — understanding lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and what will realistically work long-term.

Taking on the role of General Manager has given Aimee a broader view of the industry, helping her understand what it takes to create consistency, not just in services, but in systems, team support, and guest experience.

She’s currently focused on expanding her skills in air-touch blonding, refining advanced placement techniques, and continuing to learn more about scalp health. Looking ahead, she’s excited to see more creative colour bookings come through and to keep growing both personally and professionally.

Outside of work, Aimee values slower moments. A perfect day off starts with coffee and unfolds without much of a plan — time at home, running errands, or shopping for herself.

After a busy week, she unwinds with a charcuterie board and 90 Day Fiancé. She finds inspiration through fashion, listens to Cardi B, and considers herself very much a homebody, even though she dreams of travel anywhere near water. New York stands out as a favourite place she’s visited.

Small joys matter to her, especially a perfectly made matcha, and friends would describe her as selfless.
